Yamamoto Hammered Kurouchi Gyuto 210mm Magnolia Handle
Nao Yamamoto is one of the youngest blacksmiths in the Takefu Knife Village, in Fukui prefecture. The Takefu knife village is one single building housing eleven separate blacksmith companies. His workshop is called Yamamoto Hamono.
Nao Yamamoto has been a blacksmith for eighteen years, specializing in the use of stainless steels such as VG10, damascus and high carbon steels such as Aogami. He employs these materials to forge both kitchen and bespoke knives. He was awarded the Arus prize by the All Nippon Knife Show for his fishbone designed knife. With his vast experience and knowledge, Yamamoto has started instructing in forging techniques to visitors of the Knife Village.
This series is made from high performance Aogami steel clad in iron, the wide bevel style grind makes it easier to sharpen and maintain.
